About Me

Hello, I am Veronika

My journey as an educator began as an ESL teacher in China, Turkey, and Indonesia. In the past five years I have helped over 50 expats adapting to Indonesian language and culture in Jakarta. Teaching has always been my passion because it allows me to connect with incredible people from all over the world.

Throughout my teaching career, I’ve noticed a common issue among new Indonesian learners. They often say that Indonesian is supposed to be easy, but when they try to learn on their own, they struggle to understand the locals. The reason? Spoken Indonesian is quite different from the formal language, and there aren’t many coursebooks or courses that teach practical, natural Bahasa Indonesia from the very beginning.

This is why I developed the “Speak Real Indonesian” course. Our approach is unique because we focus on teaching the authentic, everyday language that Indonesians use. You’ll learn how to navigate real-life conversations with confidence and ease, right from the start.

I Never Thought That I Would Enjoy Teaching This Much

Both of my grandparents were teachers, and when I was the youngest grandchild, my granny used to urge me to become a teacher. At that time, I didn't like the idea. However, I love challenges. So, I gave volunteer teaching a shot in early 2015, focusing on children's health. In no time, I found myself teaching at the Amerikan Kultur, Turkiye.

Fast forward to 2024, I have met so many amazing people, many of whom I've seen improve their speaking skills. That is truly rewarding for me.

I Realized Teaching is More Than Just 'Lecturing'

Who would have thought that this profession would become my playground? Even as I build another business, I find that I can't leave teaching behind—it's when I have the most fun and recharge my social battery. I look forward to meeting even more amazing people from all over the world and helping each of you grow in speaking Bahasa Indonesia.

Join me in this exciting journey to master Indonesian the way it’s truly spoken. Let’s make learning Indonesian not just easy, but also fun and practical!
